PREMIÈRE VAGUE

Mixing – Sound design

“The COVID-19 has just been declared a worldwide pandemic, the first lockdown has just been declared in Quebec. Samuel, Fanny, Daniel and Marianne, four Montrealers from very different backgrounds, must now adapt to this new reality. What they believe to be a temporary situation will become a long ordeal that will change their lives forever”.

Between reality and fiction, Première Vague takes a look at the first 100 days of the pandemic in Montreal, it’s an ambitious work that was conceived, written and shot in the midst of the global health crisis. This feature film was produced by Kino Montreal and Jarrett Mann. This movie was directed by Max Dufaud, Kevin T. Landry, Reda Lahmouid and Rémi Fréchette. The project began in the spring of 2020, during the first lockdown, with the intention of portraying the first 100 days of the pandemic in Montreal through an ensemble movie. It was in this very particular context that we did the 5.1 surround mix and created the sound effects for this unique project.

In 2021, the film generated important media coverage and was distributed in theaters, on Crave TV as well as on Super Écran.
