Matt Nantel
Sound Recordist / Sound engineer / Compositor
Matt Nantel is the owner of the Notes Productions Studios. First known for his talents as a music composer, his works have contributed to the success of thousands of projects around the world via the Premium Beat platform. His passion for cinema, but above all his love for the sound aspect of it, led him to continue his development towards sound production and audio post-production. His attention to detail makes his approach to the development of atmospheres and sound effects truly unique.
And in the spirit of going even further and better meeting the needs of his clients, Matt also became a sound recordist, member of AQTIS, to take advantage of the maximum possibilities of each project. His sensitivity and ability to adjust to his clients’ needs make him a collaborator that many cannot live without!
Mélodie Després
Coordinator / Business Development / Narrator
Mélodie is a professional singer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Montreal. She combined her passions by joining forces with Matt Nantel to create Notes Productions.
Mélodie is passionate about communications, she loves the challenge and above all being attentive to the needs of her collaborators through the various projects of Notes Productions.
Always available and dedicated, she ensures optimal conditions for each step of the pre-production, production and post-production process. She organizes the schedule and coordinates the deadlines, but she is also in the studio to record narrations or characters and even some melodic lines or vocal harmonies if needed!
Our story …
Notes Productions Studios have evolved a lot since their creation! It all began with simplicity, out of a basement in a suburb of the Laurentians. In 2014, our growing needs pushed us to seek a more spacious creative space, closer to the city of Montreal. Notes Productions decided to settle in Rosemere, close to the “Montreal / St-Jerome” commuter train station. This inspiring location, more easily accessible from the city of Montreal, ensures us a presence in the creative community of the city.
In 2019, to better meet the standards of the sound post-production environment, Notes Productions improved its studio acoustic with a design by John H. Brandt. We now have the chance to offer an environment that is both welcoming and professional.
